What it's about Synopsis

In 1949, Nobel Prize-winning author Thomas Mann returns to Germany for the first time since the end of the war, accompanied and assisted by his daughter, the actress, cabaret artist and journalist Erika. From Frankfurt under American occupation to Weimar under Soviet rule, father and daughter travel across the devastated and divided country, where they remain outsiders, whilst the Mann family’s personal drama quietly escalates.
